Privacy Policy

This website uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising and no embedded third-party content. Fonts and scripts are loaded from this server only.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Yannik Bleilinger
Heinz-Feuchter-Weg 18
89075 Ulm
Germany
Email: yannik.bleilinger@phiscus.com

No data protection officer has been appointed, as there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website runs on our own server in Germany. Requests are forwarded to this server in encrypted form (HTTPS) via the reverse proxy Pangolin. Insofar as a service provider’s servers are used for this, the provider processes the data solely on our behalf and according to our instructions on the basis of a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

When you visit the website, the reverse proxy necessarily processes your IP address, date and time of access, the requested page, HTTP status code, amount of data transferred and your browser identifier (user agent) in order to forward the request to the web server. The web server itself does not keep access logs. Insofar as the reverse proxy logs requests, these logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest. Technical error messages of the web server are size-limited and automatically overwritten on rotation.

The purpose is the technical provision of the website and ensuring its stability and security (e.g. defending against attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in secure and reliable operation. The data is not combined with other data sources.

3. Waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the time of sign-up, the selected language and the exact wording and version of the consent you gave (as proof pursuant to Art. 7(1) GDPR). Your IP address is not stored.

The sole purpose is to inform you about the launch of Phiscus and access to the product. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You give it by ticking the box “I agree to the privacy policy” in the sign-up form.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by sending an informal email to yannik.bleilinger@phiscus.com. Your data will then be deleted without delay. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

The data is stored until you withdraw your consent or the purpose no longer applies, but no longer than twelve months after the product launch. It is not passed on to third parties.

4. Abuse prevention

To protect the sign-up form against automated mass submissions, we store a cryptographic hash of your IP address with each submission. It is created with a secret key that changes daily, does not allow the IP address to be recovered and is deleted automatically after 24 hours at the latest. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is preventing abuse.

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking or marketing cookies. Only if you actively choose a language with the language toggle is a cookie named lang stored to remember your choice for one year. It contains only the value “en” or “de”. This cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG); the legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Without an active choice, the language is determined from your browser's language setting without storing anything.

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering). The data is deleted once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent given at any time. An email to yannik.bleilinger@phiscus.com is sufficient.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg (LfDI), Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place on this website.
